While strains are sometimes identified as indica, sativa, and hybrid, that’s not really accurate. These three classifications refer to the different plant shapes and structures. Generally, indicas are believed to cause sedating effects. Sativas typically encourage energy and hybrids vary in between.

When considering strains, look at the levels of THC and CBD:

• High THC and low CBD for more euphoric effects
• High CBD and low THC for more clear-headed effects
• Balanced THC and CBD for mildly euphoric effects
